Norway's water and energy directorate, NVE, has issued an orange warning for landslides and flooding in parts of eastern Norway (Østlandet), while the Meteorological Institute has a yellow warning for heavy rain, NRK reports.
Forecasters expect around 30 to 40mm of rain in 12 hours. The duty meteorologist, Emili Carin Rønning, said the low-pressure system was coming from the south-east like Storm Amy did almost exactly a year ago, but was much weaker, and that the warnings were not expected to be raised.
NVE called the situation serious and urged residents to keep drains, ditches and pipes clear of leaves and twigs so water can run off. In Tønsberg, the council has started preventive work at Revetal, drawing on lessons from last year's storm.
