Sweden Democrat leader Jimmie Åkesson has said his party will unconditionally tolerate Moderate leader Ulf Kristersson as prime minister and then sit in opposition, reshaping talks on who can form the next government. The pledge comes as smaller parties weigh deals after inconclusive coalition bargaining, including earlier signals from the Centre Party about whom it could accept. Analysts say an unconditional SD green light could simplify arithmetic for Kristersson while leaving policy disputes unresolved. The move does not itself install a government, but it narrows the field of viable prime ministerial candidates as negotiations continue in Stockholm.
