Yemen's Houthis have claimed that a ballistic missile hit King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and caused extensive damage, Anadolu Agency reports. Saudi Arabia has not confirmed any strike.
Saudi Civil Defence issued four early warnings on Wednesday, two for Najran province and one each for Riyadh and Jazan, without saying what the danger was. The Riyadh alert was lifted after nine minutes.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree also claimed a drone attack on a radar site on the Al-Qahmah peninsula north of Jazan and missile strikes on the Akifah military camp in Najran and a border guard command building in Jazan, saying soldiers were killed or wounded without giving figures. He repeated the group's warning to airlines and passengers to avoid Saudi airspace, except over Mecca and Medina.
