Kylian Mbappé scored twice as José Mourinho's Real Madrid beat La Liga leaders Barcelona 2-1 at Camp Nou on Sunday, Al Jazeera reports, citing AFP.
Mbappé deflected in a cleared cross before half-time for his tenth league goal of the season. Raphinha levelled for Barcelona before the French forward struck again late on. The result was Barcelona's first domestic defeat of the season, coming days after a Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
Madrid, playing without the suspended Vinícius Júnior and with Andriy Lunin in goal in place of the unwell Thibaut Courtois, have now won five games in a row. They stay third, three points behind Barcelona, with Atlético Madrid also above them.
Barcelona midfielder Pedri admitted his side had not played well, but said the league would not be decided by one match.
