Argentina's government has denied reports that Flávio Bolsonaro, the defeated candidate in Brazil's presidential election, has entered the country, the Buenos Aires Times reports, carrying a Bloomberg story.
The denial came from the press secretary of President Javier Milei after the Argentine news site Infobae reported that Bolsonaro had crossed into Argentina and intended to travel on to the United States. Bolsonaro's spokespeople did not immediately comment.
On Monday Bolsonaro released a video saying the Federal Police had told him to hand over his ordinary and diplomatic passports and that he was barred from leaving Brazil. The order was issued by the Supreme Court justice Alexandre de Moraes after Bolsonaro's brother, Eduardo, said on a podcast that Flávio should leave the country if he lost the election to President Lula.
