Some 5.5 million Danes can check and amend their preliminary tax assessments for 2027 from 24 November, about two weeks later than usual, The Local Denmark reports, citing the Danish Tax Agency.
The assessment, known as the forskudsopgørelse, sets out expected income and tax for the coming year, and people are encouraged to update it after a new job, a pay rise or a change in interest payments to avoid a large bill later.
The agency's Ulrick Junge said the delay was so that several tax changes due to be approved by parliament in November could be included, among them new deductions for children's sports and music lessons and changes affecting older workers and childcare staff. Last year about 800,000 people had to pay back tax, totalling 7.9 billion kroner.
