A bus travelling from Delhi to Srinagar was hit by stones near Doraha in Punjab's Khanna police district on Sunday night, a day after another bus from the same company was attacked in Haryana, The Hindu reports.
A stone thrown from the roadside broke a window and alarmed passengers, but nobody was hurt. Police escorted the bus out of the area and it continued its journey. A case has been registered and officers are checking CCTV from roadside restaurants, fuel stations and toll plazas.
The Khanna police superintendent for investigations, R.K. Yadav, said police were examining whether the two incidents were linked. In Saturday's attack in Karnal, a passenger and a restaurant worker were injured. Jammu and Kashmir's chief minister, Omar Abdullah, said his office had raised that incident with Haryana's government.
