Boy, 14, stabbed in car park at Manchester’s Arndale Centre

·

A 14-year-old boy was stabbed in the car park of the Arndale Centre in Manchester city centre on Saturday afternoon, according to Greater Manchester Police.

The force said the attack happened on the ninth floor of the car park shortly after 15:00 BST. Officers do not believe the boy's injuries are life-threatening or life-changing. The shopping centre was shut for several hours while police dealt with the scene.

A detective inspector described it as an isolated incident and said there was no wider risk to the public. The BBC reported that it understood an argument involving other males had taken place before the stabbing. No one had been arrested by Sunday and police said their inquiries were ongoing.
