A court in Sofia has issued European arrest warrants for two German 19-year-olds accused of torching Starlink antennas south of the Bulgarian capital, DW reports.
Prosecutors say the pair started the fires on the evening of 9 October at a site with 18 antennas in a mountainous area. Three were destroyed, two partly burned and three more damaged. According to prosecutors, the suspects drove in from Serbia in a German-registered car, said they were tourists and stayed only a few hours.
The head of Bulgaria's DANS intelligence agency said he was treating it as deliberate sabotage. The case follows four arrests in Germany last week over an attack on a Starlink station in Poland, which Warsaw has blamed on Russia. Ukraine's military relies on Starlink's Starshield service for communications.
