Lithuanian authorities foiled an overnight attempt on Sunday to torch antennas and control hardware at a company that stores Starlink satellite communications kit, Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius said, according to the Kyiv Independent. Investigators found containers of flammable liquid at the scene.
Sinkevicius said the firm had been warned of possible attacks and had tightened security, so the attempt failed. He described it as part of Russia's hybrid warfare against Europe and said Moscow was likely behind it, though the investigation is still under way. A fire at a Starlink ground station in Poland in September was also treated as possible sabotage. Separately on Sunday, a drone crashed and exploded in northern Lithuania near the Latvian border, damaging a passing car; officials have not yet established what caused the blast.
