A new PoderData/Aya survey puts Senator Flávio Bolsonaro ahead of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva by 52 per cent to 48 per cent of valid votes in Brazil's presidential run-off, The Rio Times reports.
The poll, published on Monday, six days before the 25 October vote, ends a 50-50 tie in the same pollster's previous survey. PoderData interviewed 3,000 voters by phone from 16 to 18 October across all 27 states, with a margin of error of 1.8 points. Valid votes exclude blank, spoiled and undecided responses.
AtlasIntel also published a survey on Monday showing Flávio on 51.1 per cent and Lula on 48.9 per cent, with a one-point margin of error. The Rio Times notes that polling firms use different methods and that no single poll can settle the outcome.
