Google has launched Dreambeans, its experimental AI app that creates illustrated personal stories, in India, its first market outside the United States, TechCrunch reported. The Android and iOS app now supports 13 Indian languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Bengali, as well as English.
Dreambeans uses information from connected Google services such as Calendar, Gmail, Photos, Search, YouTube and Gemini to generate stories about a user's interests and daily life without a prompt, and can now animate some images using the Veo video model. Google said it picked India because of strong demand and heavy use of its services there. Sensor Tower estimates shared with TechCrunch suggest the app has had about 55,000 US downloads since June, with monthly downloads falling 84% to around 5,500 in October, far fewer than general-purpose AI assistants recorded at launch.
