Ukraine's Defence Minister Yevhen Khmara and Commander-in-Chief Mykhailo Drapatyi have met a Lockheed Martin delegation in Kyiv as the country runs short of Patriot interceptor missiles, the Kyiv Independent reports.
The US company makes the PAC-3 interceptors used by the Patriot system, one of the few defences able to stop Russian ballistic missiles. Ukraine's Defence Ministry said the talks covered reliable arms deliveries and increasing PAC-3 supplies. The delegation was led by Orlando Sanchez Jr, president of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, and had met President Volodymyr Zelensky two days earlier.
The meeting comes as Russia steps up missile and drone attacks across Ukraine. Ukrainian officials told the Kyiv Independent that US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has not yet approved the transfer of a significant batch of Patriot missiles.
