Norwegian house prices fall 1% in October as sales drop

·

House prices in Norway fell by 1 per cent in October, according to new figures from the industry body Eiendom Norge reported by NRK. Adjusted for seasonal variation, prices rose by 0.1 per cent.

Henning Lauridsen, the organisation's chief executive, said it was normal for prices to fall in the autumn and that October had been weak in most parts of the country. Prices are now up 3.2 per cent so far this year, down from 4.2 per cent at the end of September. A total of 8,970 homes were sold during the month, 13.4 per cent fewer than in October 2025, and the average property took 50 days to sell. Despite the October dip, Ålesund has recorded the strongest growth of any area this year, with prices up 10.5 per cent.
