King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh partially reopened to domestic and international flights on Sunday, after operations were halted for two weeks following Houthi strikes on the Saudi capital, Africanews reports.
Flight-tracking data showed an aircraft leaving for Jeddah early in the day, and passengers were told to check with their airlines before travelling to the airport.
The Yemeni Houthi movement, which is backed by Iran, has warned that the airport remains unsafe and a military target. An earlier attack on the airport this month killed 13 people and injured more than 300, according to the report. The Saudi-led coalition said it shot down two drones near Riyadh early on Sunday. The attacks have made Saudi Arabia a pressure point in the wider conflict involving Iran.
