A woman has told Southwark Crown Court that Russell Brand grabbed her and pulled her into a toilet at a Soho bar in 2004, where she says he orally raped her, The Guardian reports. Jurors were shown her recorded police interview on Monday. She said the assault happened within a minute of meeting the comedian at a birthday party, and described a strange, clown-like grin on his face. She told detectives she froze and afterwards walked out in a daze.
Brand, 51, is on trial on seven counts, three of rape, three of sexual assault and one of indecent assault, involving six women between 1999 and 2009. He denies all of them and has pleaded not guilty. The trial continues.
