President Claudia Sheinbaum has announced 20 more industrial parks under her Plan México strategy, bringing the total delivered since January 2025 to 40 of the 100 planned over six years, Mexico News Daily reports.
The new parks represent an investment of between US$670 million and US$763 million, cover 4.6 million square metres and can house around 175 companies. Sheinbaum said they could create more than 32,000 jobs. They are spread across seven states and Mexico City, with half in Coahuila and Nuevo León and others near Felipe Ángeles International Airport.
All 20 already have companies operating, mainly in electronics, medical devices, logistics and e-commerce. David O'Donnell, who heads the Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks, said its members would invest US$4.6 billion in industrial infrastructure this year.
