Actor Noel Clarke pleads not guilty to six sexual offences

·

The actor Noel Clarke has denied six sexual offences at Westminster Magistrates' Court, Sky News reports. The 50-year-old faces two charges of sexual assault, three of voyeurism and one of exposure, which are alleged to have taken place between 2007 and 2016 and involve five women.

Clarke was charged last month after a Metropolitan Police investigation lasting about a year. In court on Wednesday morning he spoke only to give his name, address and date of birth and to enter his pleas.

He was released on bail and is due to appear next at Southwark Crown Court on 18 November. Clarke is known for playing Mickey Smith in Doctor Who and for writing and starring in the films Kidulthood and Adulthood.
