Anthropic has launched Claude Duet, an AI agent app aimed at professionals and small businesses, TechCrunch reports. It enters a crowded field that includes Meta's Muse, OpenAI's Dots and Grok Bot.
Duet runs tasks in the background on its own virtual machine and checks back with the user when it needs approval. Anthropic says it can produce daily briefings, build dashboards and suggest actions based on a user's data, but is not designed for errands such as booking tickets. It runs on the Claude Opus 5.5 model, links to more than 6,000 connectors and plugins, and can make purchases through Stripe Link or Shop Pay with the user's sign-off.
Anthropic says the agent will not trade securities or move money between accounts. The app is in research preview on iOS, Android and the web for Pro and Max subscribers, with a waitlist.
