The governors of four states in Nigeria's south-east have urged residents to vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election, Premium Times reports.
Charles Soludo of Anambra, Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi, Peter Mbah of Enugu and Hope Uzodimma of Imo spoke on Saturday at a women's rally and empowerment event organised by the ruling All Progressives Congress at Okpara Square in Enugu.
Mr Mbah credited the federal government's economic reforms for local projects, including new primary healthcare centres, and told voters not to abandon the president mid-course ahead of the election on 16 January 2027. He said the programme aimed to support 5,000 women across the region with cash, help with hospital bills and tools to earn an income. Mr Uzodimma praised the first lady, Oluremi Tinubu, for backing the scheme.
