Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State in northern Nigeria has asked anyone upset by his government's decisions to forgive him, as he called for unity in the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 general elections, Premium Times reports, citing the News Agency of Nigeria.
Speaking on Saturday at the launch of the party's campaign council for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and himself, Radda said he held no grudges and welcomed new members. He told party workers not to rely on the APC's popularity and to campaign hard at every level, from polling units upwards. He also pointed to infrastructure work across the state's 34 local government areas. Ahmed Dangiwa was named director-general of the campaign council.
