Prosecutors and defence lawyers set out their cases on Monday in the Anchorage trial of Versace Armani Sperl, who is accused of killing Daishon Alex, 22, in a shooting in the Mountain View neighbourhood two and a half years ago, Alaska's News Source reports.
Mr Sperl, 28, faces charges including first-degree murder and tampering with evidence over the shooting on Mumford Street. Three other men are charged separately with helping after the killing.
Assistant District Attorney Nolan Gerlach told jurors that Mr Sperl fired nine shots at Mr Alex, who was streaming on social media at the time, and said the killing grew out of a long-running petty grudge.
He said eyewitnesses, security and traffic cameras, and phone location data would tie Mr Sperl to the scene, and that a car linked to him was later hidden at an auto parts yard.
