P.E.I. man pleads not guilty to first terrorism charges laid in Atlantic Canada

·

A man from Prince Edward Island has denied two terrorism charges which, according to police, are the first of their kind in the Atlantic Canada region, CBC News reports.

Daniel Desmond Crowder, of North Rustico, faces two terrorism charges linked to 3D-printed firearms and threats made online. He was not in court on Tuesday, and his lawyer entered the pleas on his behalf. He also pleaded not guilty to further charges of making firearms, possessing weapons and uttering threats, arising from evidence found when police searched a home in central P.E.I. in February 2025.

Before his arrest on the terrorism charges last November, Crowder had been subject to a one-year terrorism peace bond from August 2025, a measure rarely used in the region. He remains in custody and is due back in court in the coming months.
