Former Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has appeared in a video for the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, asking people not to forget civilians in Gaza and to donate, The National reports.
In the film, released by UNRWA's Spanish branch on Sunday evening, Guardiola says those killed are not statistics or collateral damage but children and families, and that solidarity with Palestinians cannot pause.
Gaza's health authorities say more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed since the Hamas-led attack on Israel of 7 October 2023, in which Israel says about 1,200 people were killed, and more than 1,400 since a ceasefire began in October 2025. Israel has barred UNRWA from operating on its territory, accusing it of links to Hamas, which the agency denies. Guardiola left City at the end of last season.
