Brazil's Superior Electoral Court has barred the conservative federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira and the influencer Pablo Marçal from republishing material that the courts have already ordered taken down, The Rio Times reports.
The order, issued on Monday by the court's electoral inspector, Ricardo Villas Bôas Cueva, covers content from six earlier cases and near-identical copies, with a fine of R$50,000 for each breach. It also tells Meta and X to stop paid promotion of both men's accounts until the end of run-off day on 25 October, or face daily fines of R$500,000 each. Ordinary unpaid posts are still allowed.
The case was brought by the coalition backing President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, which argues the accounts were used to promote Flávio Bolsonaro's ticket outside its registered campaign channels. The defendants have five days to respond.
