A powerful explosion was heard in the southern Yemeni city of Aden on Wednesday, and Yemen's Houthi movement said it had fired a ballistic missile at a military camp there, Al Jazeera reports.
A police official said smoke could be seen rising near Aden's airport. The city is controlled by Yemen's internationally recognised government. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group had targeted what he called the Saudi-led coalition's military operations room at the Badr camp in Aden, describing the strike as precise.
There was no immediate word on casualties or damage. The attack follows a Houthi missile strike on an army training camp in Shabwa province earlier this week and comes amid rising regional tension. Al Jazeera said the story was still developing.
