IHH Healthcare cuts more than 300 jobs in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia

·

IHH Healthcare, one of Asia's biggest private hospital groups, said on Wednesday that more than 300 staff in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia would leave the company as it merges its business support functions, CNA reports. The firm said about 0.5% of its 76,000 employees would be affected, which CNA calculated at roughly 380 people.

A spokesperson said departing staff had either been offered separation terms or let go, depending on local practice, and some others will move into redesigned roles. IHH said clinical services, healthcare professionals and patient-facing teams were not affected, and that it was offering enhanced severance and career transition support. The restructuring is linked to a new AI-driven enterprise resource planning system, developed with Infosys, which the company announced in June to standardise processes across its markets.
