Centuries from Ryan Rickelton and Wiaan Mulder have given South Africa a chance of victory in the third and deciding Test against Australia at Newlands in Cape Town, Daily Maverick reports.
Trailing by 100 on first innings, the Proteas resumed day four on 140 for four and were bowled out for 387 just before the close. Rickelton made 101 before being run out in a mix-up with Mulder, with whom he shared a 154-run stand for the sixth wicket.
Australia need 288 on the final day to win the match and the series, which is level at 1-1. That would be the second-highest successful fourth-innings chase at the ground, behind Australia's 331 in 2002. Pat Cummins took his first wicket since the opening Test in Durban.
