Serbia has changed rapidly since the Student List defeated President Aleksandar Vucic's Serbian Progressive Party in the 25 October election, DW reports.
The movement, which grew out of student-led protests, won 53% of the vote against 39% for Vucic's party. Since then the head of state broadcaster RTS has resigned, senior editors have been removed, and prosecutors have opened inquiries, including into alleged electoral fraud. In several towns residents have taken down Vucic portraits from public buildings, and protesters briefly entered the pro-government Informer TV station.
Vucic has accused the winners of "revolutionary terror" and warned his supporters could organise themselves. The protest movement began after the deadly collapse of a station canopy in Novi Sad two years ago, which killed 16 people.
