President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukraine's early warning systems for incoming Russian ballistic missiles are working again, after a period in which Kyiv said it had not received some alerts from allies, the Kyiv Independent reports. The warnings depend on US intelligence. White House officials had blamed earlier gaps on bad weather, while US Secretary of State Marco Rubio cited a software fault.
Zelensky made the remarks in Oslo at a news conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Finnish President Alexander Stubb, after talks that also involved US envoy Steve Witkoff. He described the dialogue as constructive. He also said Ukraine had offered to stop striking sensitive parts of Russia's energy sector if Russia did the same, but that Vladimir Putin had refused.
