The Philippine government has offered a reward of 50 million pesos, about US$786,000, for the capture of Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, who is wanted by the International Criminal Court, the South China Morning Post reports.
Dela Rosa, a former national police chief, led enforcement of former president Rodrigo Duterte's deadly anti-drug campaign. The ICC issued a warrant for his arrest in November 2025 and unsealed it in May, since when he has been on the run.
Interior Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla told a news conference on Friday that the senator would now be considered armed and dangerous.
The move comes just over a month before Duterte is due to go on trial at The Hague on 30 November on charges of crimes against humanity, including murder and attempted murder.
