The holder of a winning £1 million Lotto ticket bought in Tameside, Greater Manchester, has just over two months left to come forward, GB News reports.
The ticket was for the draw on Wednesday 1 July, and the winning numbers were 5, 8, 26, 33, 39 and 42, with a bonus ball of 54. Under National Lottery rules, winners have 180 days from a draw to claim, so the prize will lapse at midnight on 28 December if nobody claims it.
Allwyn, which runs the National Lottery, has appealed to people in the area to check old tickets, suggesting the winner may have no idea they hold it. Anyone who thinks they have the ticket is asked to contact the National Lottery Line. The appeal comes during a run of big wins, with more than 11 new millionaires in the past four weeks.
