Toronto police are appealing for help to find three young children they say were abducted by their mother on Friday during a partly supervised visit with a relative in Scarborough, CBC News reports.
Daniel, six, Irina, three, and four-month-old Anastasia were taken at around 11.30am near Midland Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East. Police say their mother, 22-year-old Somerda Miclescu, does not have legal custody, and that she is believed to be driving a white 2017 Ford Expedition.
Officers also want to speak to 25-year-old Ionut Stroe, who they say owns the vehicle. He is separately wanted for breaching release conditions. An inspector told a news conference on Saturday that no Amber Alert had been issued so far. Anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto police directly.
