Borlase scores 10 as Valkyries beat Dream to level WNBA Finals at 2-2

·

Australian guard Izzy Borlase scored 10 points for the Atlanta Dream, but it was not enough to stop the Golden State Valkyries winning Game 4 of the WNBA Finals 67-62 in Atlanta and levelling the series at two games each, ABC News reports.

Gabby Williams led Golden State with 17 points, while Tiffany Hayes and Veronica Burton added 13 apiece and Kiah Stokes took 16 rebounds. The Valkyries held Dream star Angel Reese to eight points and built a 16-point lead by half-time, despite making only four of their 25 three-point attempts.

Atlanta, led by Rhyne Howard's 19 points, closed the gap to five late in the fourth quarter, with Borlase hitting a three in the third, but could not complete the comeback. Game 5 of the best-of-seven series will be played in San Francisco.
