Air Canada has confirmed it will stop flying four routes to the United States from next summer, CTV News reports.
A spokesperson, Sean Davidson, said the airline regularly reviews its schedule to match demand. He said Air Canada will keep flying to Nashville, Raleigh-Durham and Seattle from other Canadian airports, but did not comment on continued service to Charleston.
Travel between the two countries has fallen sharply in recent years. Statistics Canada figures show return trips by Canadian residents from the US in July were 25.6% below the level of July 2024.
At the same time, the airline is adding some US services for summer 2027, including Toronto to Louisville, Montreal to Indianapolis and Edmonton to Newark, and seasonal routes with United Airlines from Denver and Newark to several Canadian cities.
