Anthropic has launched Claude Duet, an AI agent aimed at professionals and small business owners, as a research preview on iOS, Android and the web, The Verge reports.
Built on the company's Claude Opus 5.5 model, Duet sends a morning briefing drawn from a user's connected apps, monitors them during the day and flags items that need attention. It can also take on tasks ranging from scheduling meetings to building dashboards, forecasts and simple web apps, using its own virtual machine and browser.
Anthropic says the agent asks for approval before significant actions such as payments or deletions, and uses a dedicated safety system designed to refuse to share the most sensitive data, such as card numbers. The company describes it as an early version that may misjudge urgency. Access is by waitlist for US Pro and Max subscribers.
