A car has smashed through the wall of a supermarket in Woodville, in Adelaide's western suburbs, sending shelving and food across the shop, 1News reports. Owner Mark Schirripa, who was checking stock at the time, told Channel Nine he heard a loud bang and was hit by a wave of debris from behind.
No one was seriously hurt, though Schirripa reportedly broke a rib after being struck by shelves. The woman at the wheel, aged 31, and her passenger, 29, escaped unhurt, and police in South Australia fined her for reversing further than necessary. Schirripa, who took over the store only a month ago, joked that the driver may have mistaken it for a drive-through. Repairs are expected to take a couple of weeks, according to ABC News.
