The Parks Highway was closed in both directions near Trapper Creek on Monday while Alaska State Troopers dealt with a crash close to the junction with Petersville Road, the Anchorage Daily News reports.
Troopers issued an alert about the crash in the middle of the morning. The Susitna Valley, which includes Trapper Creek, had snow overnight, and the National Weather Service reported light snow and mist in nearby Talkeetna on Monday morning.
It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved, whether anyone was hurt or whether the weather played a part. A troopers spokesman said officers were still responding and had no further information. The newspaper described it as a developing story.
