Norway's main north-south road, the E6, has been closed in both directions between Lillehammer and Biri in Innlandet county after water flooded the carriageway, the Norwegian broadcaster NRK reports.
Heavy rain was still falling in the area on Sunday evening, and the road is expected to stay shut until 7am on Monday. The road traffic centre said it had received several reports of standing water and flooding near Biristrand, according to the local newspaper Gudbrandsdølen Dagningen.
Drivers are being advised to take a diversion along county road 213 on the eastern side of Moelv. The closure follows an orange-level flood and landslide warning issued for parts of eastern Norway over the weekend.
