Smartphone maker Nothing will release its first AI-native product in December, chief executive Carl Pei has said, though details remain scarce, TechCrunch reports. In a post on X on Wednesday, Pei described the device as a tool with no new screen that could not have been an app, and called it a productivity tool.
The company has previously said it is working on AI-linked smart glasses and earbuds with AI features. Pei appeared to distance the new product from the wave of AI wearables, writing that the industry was searching for a single magical consumer device such as a pendant, pin or pair of glasses, and that he saw the moment differently. TechCrunch notes that no firm release date has been given, and the product's form and price have not been revealed.
