Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and right-wing senator Flávio Bolsonaro are roughly level ahead of Sunday's presidential run-off, according to a CNT/MDA poll reported by Al Jazeera.
The survey, released on Saturday, put Mr Bolsonaro, the eldest son of former president Jair Bolsonaro, on 46.3 per cent and Mr Lula on 45 per cent, within the margin of error. A week earlier the same pollster had Mr Bolsonaro ahead by 46.8 to 45.9. MDA questioned 2,032 people between 21 and 23 October, and a Datafolha survey on Thursday showed the pair tied on 50 per cent each.
Mr Bolsonaro topped the first round on 4 October with 47 per cent to Mr Lula's 45 per cent. The poll followed Friday's final debate, in which the two clashed over the economy, crime and the cost of living.
