Vladimir Putin has warned European leaders that Moscow would be prepared for a conflict with Europe, while insisting that Russia has no desire for one, Meduza reports.
Responding to talk in European capitals of preparing for a possible conflict with Russia by 2030, Putin questioned whether that was the right approach. He said Russia had no wish for war with Europe, but added that anyone who wanted one should get ready.
He warned those in Europe who favour confrontation that if things went too far there would be no winners at all. Putin also said Russia remembered the lessons of both world wars and was doing everything it could to stop anything similar happening again.
