Anthropic and the AI infrastructure company Nscale are reported to be close to a second compute agreement worth $45 billion, TechCrunch reports, citing Bloomberg.
The two companies announced a deal of the same size just over a month ago. People familiar with the talks told Bloomberg that discussions were continuing and the terms could still change. TechCrunch said it had asked both companies for comment.
The agreement would be the latest in a series of very large computing deals signed by Anthropic over the past year, as some investors question whether the sums being spent on AI capacity will bring enough profit. Both companies are preparing stock market listings. Anthropic is expected to go public this year, while Bloomberg reported that Nscale has faced investor pushback over a proposed $30 billion valuation.
