Mexico's finance ministry financial intelligence unit has added 25 people and 15 companies linked to electoral suppliers to its blocked persons list, freezing their bank accounts as a precaution. Mexican media named former National Electoral Institute president Guadalupe Taddei and businessmen José Alfredo and Raymundo Hernández Casillas among those listed, nine days after Taddei resigned amid corruption allegations. The unit said it had spotted risky transactions and filed a complaint with federal prosecutors, stressing that listing is preventive and not a finding of guilt. President Claudia Sheinbaum has accused Taddei of betraying public trust and said most ballot materials should be printed by the state press. Auditors are also examining the institute's use of public funds.
