Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and her Brazilian partner Luisa Stefani won the women's doubles title at the Wuhan Open in China on Sunday, CBC News reports. The top seeds beat the defending champions, Australia's Storm Hunter and Czech player Katerina Siniakova, 7-5, 6-4 in a final lasting an hour and 32 minutes.
It was the pair's sixth title of the season and their third tournament win in succession, taking their total as a team to eight. The Ottawa-born Dabrowski and Stefani have now won 79 of their 98 matches together and have qualified for the season-ending WTA Finals next month. Dabrowski said she was pleased that the team's level had paid off consistently in results this year.
