Nvidia's chief executive, Jensen Huang, used the company's GTC conference in Berlin to unveil a product that fits seven of its Vera Rubin AI server racks into a shipping container that can be moved on ordinary roads, CNBC reports.
Huang said the aim is to get computing capacity running faster, arguing that delays in bringing data centres online cost billions in lost revenue. CNBC reported that OpenAI and Anthropic have been looking at smaller data centre deals.
The conference closed amid a sell-off in so-called neocloud companies that rent out AI computing power, with CoreWeave falling 10% and Nebius 7% on concerns over heavy borrowing. Huang, whose company holds stakes in several of them, insisted demand was very strong, though some industry figures at the event voiced concern about the sector's finances.
