The letter raises concern that Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp restricted content tied to President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's campaign while promoting material linked to Flávio Bolsonaro. It asks whether Meta discussed Brazil's courts, the election or platform rules with the Trump administration, and for records of any contacts.
In Brazil, electoral prosecutors say Meta has not fully complied with a court order to treat both sides equally. Both campaigns have complained about the company, which denies interfering and blames technical errors. The two candidates hold their last debate on Friday before Sunday's run-off.
