Sam Fender has told fans that ticket prices for his 2027 Proper Massive stadium tour will be lowered after complaints about the cost, The Guardian reports.
Replying on Instagram to a fan who shared Wembley prices, the North Shields singer said he was unhappy that prices had been pushed well beyond what he intended and should only reflect the cost of staging the shows. Standing tickets at Wembley had been split into front and rear sections at about £131 and £99, a split he said would not go ahead.
Top prices at other venues, including Newcastle's St James' Park, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester, were listed at between about £113 and £121. A presale is due on Wednesday, with general sale on Friday. The Mercury prize winner recently confirmed he is working on a fourth album.
